Manifesto
At the intersection of human intuition and artificial intelligence lies a new paradigm of creative practice. We are witnessing a design renaissance—not the replacement of human creativity, but a return to its fundamental principles expanded through new capabilities.
Like Renaissance masters who rediscovered classical proportions while inventing perspective, we return to the core of design thinking while unlocking unprecedented possibilities.
Intelligence is Collaborative
We reject the false dichotomy between human and artificial intelligence. Intelligence has always been collaborative—with tools, with materials, with other minds. AI represents not a departure from this tradition, but its evolution.
Design is not about the tools we use, but about how we think with them.
The pencil extended the hand. The computer extended the mind. AI extends consciousness itself—our ability to process, synthesize, and imagine at scales previously unattainable.
Design as Technical Discipline
We reject the false separation between creativity and analysis, between intuition and rigor. Design is fundamentally technical—a discipline that demands both analytical precision and creative vision. It is engineering for human experience, architecture for interaction, mathematics for meaning.
Technique does not oppose the human—it is the manifestation of our nature as homo faber, the species that thinks through making, that knows by building. Our approach recognizes that the most profound creative breakthroughs emerge from technical mastery, not despite it.
When we compress design sprints from days to hours, we're not just being efficient—we're applying systems thinking to creative process itself.
Design as Investigation
We are driven by the most fundamentally human trait: curiosity. How do things work? How could they work better? What becomes possible when we push the boundaries of process itself?
Curiosity is the engine of human evolution—from the first tools to the digital age. It compels us to take apart design thinking itself, not to break it, but to understand its mechanisms so deeply that we can amplify them.
Every methodology we develop emerges from this investigative spirit: the restless need to discover what lies beyond current limitations.
The Paradox of Constraint and Freedom
True creativity emerges not from unlimited freedom, but from intelligent constraints. Our research explores how artificial limitations can unlock human potential—how compression can lead to expansion, how speed can deepen rather than shallow our thinking.
We study the phenomenon where intensive focus creates expansive outcomes—where concentrated time yields insights that extended processes often miss. This is not about efficiency; it's about the nature of technical and creative breakthrough itself.
Human-Centered Design Augmented
Human-centered design remains our foundation, but we recognize that humans themselves are evolving through their tools. We propose Human-Centered Design Augmented—a framework where technology amplifies our inherently human capabilities without replacing our essential nature.
The human remains at the center, but with expanded capacity:
Empathy becomes amplified sensing—our natural ability to understand, scaled
Ideation becomes generative dialogue—human intention in conversation with artificial possibility
Prototyping becomes rapid materialization—compressing time between thought and form
Testing becomes continuous feedback loops—learning at the speed of human curiosity
The Archaeology of the Future
We are archaeologists excavating futures that already exist in potential—uncovering possibilities buried in the intersection of human creativity and artificial capability. But these futures are not discrete artifacts waiting to be discovered.
They are distributed across the present, manifesting partially in every new technology, every shift in practice, every emerging possibility. When we work with AI and design, we are not revealing a pre-existing future, but accessing aspects of futures that are already emerging.
We study the present to understand what it's becoming.
The Mediterranean Mind Meets Argentinean Ingenuity
From Barcelona, we embody a particular approach to innovation—one that values contemplation alongside acceleration, beauty alongside utility, community alongside efficiency. The Mediterranean tradition teaches us that the best innovations emerge not from isolation, but from the confluence of diverse streams of thought.
Yet we also carry the Argentinean spirit of “resolver”—the cultural genius for finding solutions with whatever tools are at hand, for turning constraints into creative fuel. This is the mindset that builds entire ecosystems from necessity, that sees limitation not as obstacle but as design challenge.
Our research is informed by:
Architectural thinking: Understanding structure and flow
Artisanal practice: Honoring craft within technological acceleration
Collaborative culture: Knowledge as a shared, evolving commons
Resourceful innovation: The Argentinean art of creative problem-solving
Temporal awareness: Innovation that considers both urgency and duration
The Question We're Really Asking
How do we preserve and amplify human agency in an age of artificial capability?
This is not just a technical question but a philosophical one. It touches the core of what we believe about creativity, consciousness, and the future of human potential.
Our hypothesis: Agency is not diminished by powerful tools, but can be exponentially expanded by conscious collaboration with them.
An Invitation to Think Differently
We invite designers, educators, philosophers, and builders to join us in exploring these questions. Not as answers to be consumed, but as territories to be mapped together.
The future of design will not be predetermined by technology, but consciously created through the choices we make about how to think, work, and collaborate in this new landscape.
What becomes possible when human creativity meets artificial intelligence?
This is not just our research question—it's the defining inquiry of our time.
